I think one of the things that may cause major disagreement in society is just different opinions on different matters. Also that people are just tired of compromise and dont want to make a solution its either their way or nothing.
Economic- During the civil war the North was based on factories in the South it was based on plantation system.
- Because the North was based on factories they didnt need slaves and thought it was a waste of money to have them because they could just have machines do all the work. |
Social- Abolitionists are the people that wanted to end slavery. These people also had slave revolts.
-Slave revolts these were causes by slave obviously not liking the slave- way of life. |
Political- Abraham being elected one of the causes to the Civil War, because he was part of the Union and had more power to help the Union and abolish slavery.
- A key cause was states' rights. The Southern states wanted to assert their authority over the federal goverent that they could abolish r not follow. - Another was that the South wished to take slavery to the west and the North wanted to stay with white labor only. - Another reason that lead to the Civil War was that the people in the Southern States felt like that they were getting their rights taken away by the federal goverenment. |

I would have have gone to the North side because black people are still people and they should not be treated like slaves or lower than regular white people.
